Most recently he was the Managing Director of Apogepha Arzneimittel GmbH, a company specializing in urological drugs. Prior to that, he was a Business Unit Manager at the pharmaceutical company Merckle-Recordati. Mr Bauer also worked for Abbott Labs (now Abbvie) as a Business Development Manager and held various positions in Sales & Marketing at Bayer AG. Markus Bauer is a founding member of the Pharma Licensing Club Germany (PLCD) and a lecturer at the Pharma Academy Leipzig. He was a member of various working groups of the BAH, BPI, and the Economic Council for many years and also works as a trainer and management consultant.
